ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
Head teacher Mrs Louise Swann

Our school was built in 1958 as a Primary School and additional accommodation was provided in 1974 and again in 2008 when reorganisation took place. It is a 4-11 yrs co-educational day school for girls and boys.

The school is spacious and well resourced with many classrooms having only recently been refurbished. There are specialist rooms for ICT, music and drama. The ICT suite has been enlarged, redesigned, decorated and completely refurbished. We have a large well equipped library with work areas and computer stations. Our Learning Lab has been designed to provide suitable work areas for Art, DT and Science

Our music room is well equipped with a wide range of instruments and flexible seating system. Pupils are taught by a French specialist. All Key Stage 2 classes are taught French as a modern foreign language.

Also included is a large hall which is used as a gym, assembly and dining area. There is a newly refurbished library and resource area, plus changing and toilet facilities, first aid room and administration accommodation. Our two hard surfaced play areas are provided for physical education and playtime. There is a wild area, small wood and quiet garden in the grounds too. Each playground has markings to enhance the children’s play. There are also attractive garden areas with seats and picnic benches and trees to provide shade. Extra shade is provided on the field by two free standing canopies and parasols. There is an outside adventure trail. This has already been extended to include monkey bars which provide more challenging climbing opportunities for our older and more adventurous pupils.
